Yasa is trying to be a thumbsucker! All of my kids have been binky babies but she's really trying for that thumb! It's so cute! I'm kinda pushing the binky though as I think it's easier to break them from in the long run, you can't take a thumb away, lol!!
Anyone else??
Tierney sucks on her whole hand, gets frustrated and we give her the paci...which she loves. I think once she gets a little bigger, she'll be finding her thumb and going to town.
Jayden's trying like hell! He'll suck his hand, wrist, arm, etc. He tries for his thumb, and doesn't know enough to pull his thumb away from his hand when he's making a fist. It's really cute to watch him try to maneuver his mouth around his thumb. He'll take the binky too, but lately he's really been going for the thumb.

Hahaha...I say the same thing about being able to take the binky away but not the thumb. Nathan has attempted his thumb and fingers but I replace with the binky. Much to my MIL and Stepmothers disapproval...but hell it keeps him happy.

As cute as it is, I dont let her suck on her hand/thumb. I also believe it is easier to take a paci away. She doesnt really try for her hand/thumb unless she is starving and then there are grunting noises that go with it and I know she is hungry.
Katie tries from her thump. Both hands go back and forth next to her cheek trying to get to the mouth.
We haven't given a paci, so no idea if she'd like that.
mine loves his pasi, but at night if it falls out he just replaces it with his thumb. Ilet him suck his thumb at night during the day i replace it with a pasi.
Mia trys to suck her thumb but only can get to her fist..... We give her the paci now but will not beupset if she goes to her thumb b/c they can soothe themselves so easy !
Liam was sucking his thumb a number of weeks ago and I kept replacing it with his pacifier because I too believe breaking him of a pacifier will be easier than a thumb. Well, we have those Soothie pacifiers that they give you in the hospital and he's discovered sticking his thumb in the hole so he's actually sucking his thumb and pacifier. His most recent discovery is sucking his fingers. He'll only suck the left hand though. He gets so mad when I take his fingers out of his mouth now.
