Are yours on a milk strike?
I don't know if it's the heat or what, but the last week or two- both Harper and Jackson have gone WAY down on milk consumption. They've never been the biggest drinkers anyways, but now we're struggling to even get close to finishing their 9 oz. Playtex cup in a day. We used to drink about 1 1/2 cups a day minimum, now I know sometimes not even 6. They get the drinks at all meals, most snacks, and before bed. We offer it if they are playing around in the playroom too just to entice them. They barely touch milk until evening time.
I'm not horribly worried because they love dairy. Cheese and yogurt are favorites and they get both daily. Harper loves broccoli which is another good source of calcium. I think they are still getting plenty of fluids because we have lots of wet diapers, and they drink lots of water (H more than J though lately) when we are outside or in the car (there is NO way I'm doing milk in the car!!).
Anyone else struggling with this? I'm thinking maybe it's too rich and switching to 2% at least for a while. Pediatrician said we could several months ago we could do this, so long as they get 30 grams of fat per day which I'm confident they do through other healthy sources.
BTDT moms- did your kids do this?
