Jill woke up w/a 100ish temp yesterday and was tired and cranky all day. We figured it was the flu, but you have to wait 24 hours to swab for it. Checked on her thruout the night, temp stayed low even after meds wore off, but took her in anyways today just in case. Glad we did, it's not the flu, it's strep. While this could be worrisome, my son died of a strep infection 3 1/2 yrs ago, I'm very relieved. I'd rather have something antibiotics will take care of in 24 hours. (And, my son did not have strep throat, the strep went into his bloodstream and was not treatable.) This is our first case of strep since that horrible weekend.

Poor thing though, she just finished antibiotics on Wed. from a UTI, and now another round of different antibiotics. I will be pouring probiotics into her food and having her eat lots of yogurt to stave off any occurance of a yeast infection!
