Hey, look! Special notices

Hey Brookelyn510! I have enjoyed reading your blogs & others. I am in similar situation.

Me-32 No known problems
DH- Low count, low everything really, diagnosed w/ varicocele. Surgery to correct (found five!) April 9, 2008
We have been TTC since 05, but have been agressively trying for 2yrs. At first we thought we were timing it poorly, so I started using OPK's & continued trying. NOTHING

So I put together a conception kit w/ OPK's, collection cup & a cervical cap. NOTHING. We heard about Fertell, the at home fertility test $80.00, the first test was no good, they shipped a new one. My test was good, my husbands showed abnormal sperm parameters.

DH went to urologist & they found a varicocele. DH was put on Clomid for about 6 months, and we began seeing our RE. I began clomid and we began IUI's.

IUI#1 BFN
IUI #2 BFN
RE did sperm assay and results were poor.
IUI #3 BFN

So we decided the varicocele was our problem, and DH had varicocelectomy April 9, 2008, they found 5! Well just today:

IUI#4 We are encouraged because DH's sperm was 17 million prewash, & 7.2 million washed. So the
2WW begins. I hope this will be THE ONE for you, too.

Time to get back in the game.

My DH and I haven't tried an IUI or any other fertility methods, since July of last year. We have both started new jobs, and next month April 9, 2009 we will be one year post-varicocelectomy surgery. My husband did an SPA, paid for my dr. for pure curiousity on his part. He's a visual learner, says he doesn't like to read. I am a reading coach at my school, so I always joke that I'm scared of a dr. who doesn't like to read. My husband spoke w/ him, and he said concentration was low 6 should be 20, morphology should be 14, he was 13, the overall score on the SPA should be 14, hubs was 16.3. Doc said looking good, take fertility blend.

So fast forward to this spring, it's March and I just turned 33, or 28 again, as I sometimes tell people. We are all set to try another IUI this May, IUI#5 to be exact, my insurance company will pay for 8, big blessing. This time we will try a follistim cycle, our first time using a gonotrophic, hope I'm not a raging lunatic. The thing I hope most, is this will be our time.

Well, Merry Christmas 2009 & Happy New Year 2010! I am blessed w/ a sweet handsome husband, fur babies, a home, a job, my health, lots of friends & family. Unfortunately, I have still been unable to conceive a child. I am now up to IUI #6, then only 2 left. I went to Dr. Long this summer and told him that I couldn't consider doing IVF without having at least a hysteroscopy, to check to the viability of my ovaries, uterus, etc. Dr. Long said "Sure, let's do it this week, but let's do a laproscopy instead. So we talked about the procedure, and I filled out all the paperwork and took the prelim. tests. I had the laproscopic June 29, 2009. I was kinda afraid the Dr. would wake me up & tell me all was pink and beautiful inside my womb, and then what was the reason we couldn't get pregnant?

Instead I woke to find the Doc had taken photos liked we had discussed, he even threw in pics. all the stuff he could see from his vantage point, loved it. However, he also found Stage 2 Endometriosis on the back of my uterus or cul-de-sac, or on my pouch of Douglas. Incidentally Douglas is my Dad's name & also the person who took me to my procedure. The Dr. lasered it off & said I had no adhesions & thinks he took care of what he saw. I was scheduled for IUI #6 w/ my next cylce using follistim and repronex, unfortunately I ovulated too quickly & we couldn't do the IUI. Now, I'm just trying to sell my home so we can build a new one & maybe we will make enough $$$ to try IVF, & this will be the last frontier, and maybe the end of my putting a ? where God has put a .
