I'm not familiar with the seasonique, but my mother had a complete hysterectomy. The hysterectomy has really thrown her body for a loop... she now has to take hormones daily and her metabloism is horrible. To say the least.... she regrets the decision to have a hysterectomy. If this is something you are considering, I would talk to your doctor about uterine ablation... it is an alternative to a hysterectomy in which the cauterize the inside of the uterus. After having this done, the patient either does not have a period or only has a very light period.

Thanks for the info. I would have a partial hysterectomy I don't know if that would make things differnt or not and my doctor did tell me about the ablation and I have 2 friends who had this done and it did nothing for them and they are still in pain and have problems with periods. My doctor suggested a partial hysterectomy and told me to ask around and get feed back and see what I wanted to do.

Again Thanks so much for your info.
