Arghh, baby names!!!

Posted 04-02-2008 at 02:26 AM by paulinefc
Morning all,
I'm now 22 weeks pregnant
I'm starting to get really excited!!
But when I tell people the names I like I get nothing but negative comments
My boys names are Sam....Jack....Charlie...or Darragh
Girls names Kara....Grace....Leah or Jessica..
I haven't settled on any yet.. has anyone any suggestions on these names or any new one's...

My Three children are called Aaron, Chloe and Ben. We have a double barrel surname so the baby needs a short first name...

I'd be sooooo grateful for all suggestion.s

I like all of your choices. Any one of them will be a beautiful name.

Pick the one you like and don't listen to anyone else. If we all liked the same names, we'd be named the same thing. All of your choices are good ones. We had the same issue naming our daughter and I finally stuck up for myself and had to tell people, "Well, if you don't like it, you don't have to name YOUR child that!"

Sorry, touchy subject for me obviously! =)

I like all of them! =)

I like the name Kara too. I have a really good friend named that and she is such a sweet person. She spells it with a C, but it doesn't matter. I also love the name Leah! I have thought about that name for us if we have another girl. Not many of those around. You'll have to keep us posted on what you decide on. No need to worry until they request a name in the hospital! =)

Actually, I didn't. I can tell you she is the sweetest person too!
For boy names, I used to teach 1st grade and I had a little Charlie in my class. He was beautiful and so kind. It's funny when you teach, you associate names with the kids you taught. I never had a Leah, but still really LOVE that name! =) I wish I were preggo and if so, with another girl. My little girl is Marlee!

You def put names to people you know!! Marlee is really pretty.. Have you only one child? your time will come, and hopefully soon.
I have seen some of your messages to enigma and guess you've been trying a while now.. This may sound really basic, but my friend had trouble concieving, sos she went on clomid (fertility drug) and zinc supplement. She concieved after 3months, this was after 3 failed attempts at IVF.
I've not been on for little while, I'm on placement in the hospital. then back to college in 2 weeks for my nursing exams. The shifts in the hospital are relly taking it out of me, as they are 13 hour shifts!! Ah well not long left till I can put my feet up..
How old is Marlee?

I only have one child at the moment, but have been trying for number two for almost a year. It can be so frustrating and this site has really been great.
I am actually taking Letrozole (which is like Clomid), but no luck so far. This month is out since I'll be out of town during the right time. =(

I wanted to wish you good luck on your nursing exams. Hang in there and you'll be done before you know it.

Oh, and Marlee is 21 months today! She'll be two in July.
