Okay I don't know if I am in the right place to ask this question but I need to talk to someone....I am 45 years old never been pregnant and just got divorced 6 months ago got involved with a man that is 49 about 2 months ago had sex on the 13th of September and my period was supposed to start on the 26th. Needless to say it did not. Took home test came up neg, had strepp throat and was on antibiotioc, now have major upper resp infection went to doctor he took urine test still neg but he feels if I do not start by Wednesday that he will order blood test and sonogram. Is it just a possiblity that this is my first missed cycle because of my age or is the doctor possibly correct in telling me that the antibiotics and the fact that I have been sick since around the 26th that my neg test are not correct. Any one out there ever hear of something similar?
