Tonight is a regularly-scheduled practice, but it's going to be a little different - we have guest skaters coming from a nearby league to practice/scrimmage with us. This will be our first time since our exhibition bout in December (which we sadly lost) practicing another team.

There is currently a great deal of uproar in my family about one of my cousin's upcoming weddings. The initial trigger? They didn't want kids at their wedding (to be held next September).

My reaction to this news:
1. Wow, this is going to piss everyone in my family off!
2. If you don't want kids at your wedding, that's totally your choice, but you have to be prepared for:
a. Everyone in your family being pissed off.
b. A good deal of people choosing...

At Christmas, I took the time to lovingly prepare (just for me; Sophia was with her dad and I stuck around my house by myself) some seriously good eats.

I've always enjoyed cooking and consider myself a good cook. However, I'm such a fan of the pasta+cheese+wine food group (it's the big orange section on the food pyramid, right?) that I often forsake fruits and veggies.
