So, we finally went back to see the RE yesterday and he explained our test results to us. DH's SA came back normal, so no problems there. RE confirmed that I do indeed have PCOS, since my testosterone levels were above the normal range and my LH/FSH flucuated like how it would in women with PCOS. He encourages me to keep taking the Metformin and try to get to 3 pills a day and lose a little weight. When I asked him about folic acid he said that would be good if I could start on that too, since it's recommended for women who are trying to have a baby and women who are already pregnant. I am to go back on Clomid then I have to go back in a week after I'm done with the Clomid for an u/s to see if I have a mature egg. If I do indeed have one, he will administer an HCG trigger shot so that I will ovulate and then me and DH will have to baby dance like crazy. Two weeks later we'll go back to see if there is a sticky bean.

It seems my FSH and LH levels aren't too high and they aren't too low they're just not working together, haha, figures.

I've been reading up on this trigger shot and some women said it hurt like hell and some said they didn't feel a thing. I assume the pain level is equal to getting the flu shot since it has to be put in the muscle and the flu shot is the same just that it's in your arm and not your thigh. Lucky me though, my doctor said if he sees a developed egg on the u/s he'll administer the shot himself and I won't have to worry about mixing and knowing where I should stick the needle in. DH won't have to take needle sticking classes (since he's deathly scared of needles and blood as it is) so that'll make him happy.

I'm a little anxious and a little scared but I will continue to remain optimistic. I pray that God will continue to watch over us and keep us in his grace and that he continues to give us the strength and wisdom as we walk down this path that has been given to us.

I'm praying for a healthy developed egg, two would be awesome and some extra sticky baby dust.
