Therapeutic Shopping

Posted 05-01-2008 at 01:00 PM by Marlana
So, I am a college student.

Here I am, experiencing the "best years of my life." And for the most part....I would agree.

But it is May 1.

As I flip the calendar page to this month, flashes of final exams and murderous term papers sabotage my mind. I try to process my overwhelming and impossible "to do" list but can't, and my thoughts go to jumbles. Just when a panic attack is about to set in....

I remember....

www.ShangBy.com My destination for therapeutic shopping. Here I can escape to a world where I can design whatever jewelry I want via a live video feed and discover the wide range of choices in Shanghai, China. This website holds live events Sunday through Thursday at 9 p.m. CST where I can call in and speak to a woman named Nina with an awesome Australian accent. She proceeds to guide me through a stress-free process of mixing and matching pieces of jewelry to my liking. She can hear my voice over the phone, and I can see and hear her through the online video feed and the phone.

Just fabulous.

So after I travel to Shanghai, China with the click of a button and purchase a piece of jewelry that I have customized myself at a price 40-80% off what I would purchase the same piece for in the U.S., I am calm.

ShangBy calmed me down and provided me with an experience that was highly therapeutic.

I can now move on to my studies. Calmly and happily.

All I want to do is love, travel and love while I travel.

Unfortunately, traveling is a luxury that I cannot participate in 100% of the time, although I do make it as regular a part of my life as possible.

However, I have discovered a few places to release my imagination and tap into my international cravings.

These include:

(1) www.shangby.com
-Where as mentioned in my previous post, I can shop right from the streets in Shanghai, China and get live support and interaction.

(2) The Travel Channel (of course)
-Where I can travel to the most exotic places and plan my next trip.

(3) exoticworldgifts.com
-I loved watching the elephant paint! Amazing!!
