Notices

It seems I'm the 11th blog on here, so I thought it appropriate to call this Chapter 11.

Life is full of chapters. I can see definate breaks when I look back at my life; turning points. I was glad to be the 11th blog started here because I feel I'm at a turning point between bankruptcy (just going through the daily grind with the only purpose being to make it through) and having a life with a lasting impact on those around me.

I sometimes feel bankrupt emotionally because I have too much clutter in my home... and on my body. It keeps me from pursing things of lasting value. I'm embarking on a journey to change that. I'd rather not post all this on my other blog so here it is. Care to join in the fun, cheer me on, or just see if I can make it?

I'm not saying this is healthy, but here it is.

2 scoops vanilla soy protein powder
4 T dutch cocoa
1/2 t pure stevia powder
4T whole husk psyllium

Mix in blender and chill in small dishes. I added sliced almonds to the top.

Stevia as a Sweetener

Posted 01-12-2008 at 05:56 AM by MamaFish
I have not cooked with stevia yet, but we've been using it to sweeten beverages for several years. Great if you're trying to give your family less sugar and also great if you're on a no carb diet.

Iced tea:
To make a gallon of tea I use 6 tea bags in my 12 cup coffee pot basket just like I was making a pot of coffee. I dump that into a gallon pitcher then add water to equal a gallon. I actually use two 1/2 gallon jugs because it's easier to lift and easier to fit in the frige....

Protein Shake Recipe

Posted 01-12-2008 at 05:43 AM by MamaFish
I had this Vanilla proteing powder and I just thought I'd throw in a few extras! I'm sure this would be good for anytime, not just weight loss. This is sugar free (and almost carb free) recipe.

40 ounces unsweetened Silk soymilk
3 scoops Jay Robb's vanilla soy protein
6T dutch cocoa
3/4 t stevia extract powder
3T psyllium whole husks
3T flax seed oil

Mix all in a blender. It will thicken so you may have to add a little water a little...
