So I am creating a blog for my friend who is TTC. I just want to do a little history becaue I want this to turn out to be a happy story in the end. My friend is 27 and has pcos. She has one 7 year old son. She has been TTC for about 6 years. About 3 years ago she had a m/c at about 7 weeks which required a dnc. She got pregnant using metaformin last year, but lost her beautiful baby son at 24 weeks gestation on 11/7/2007. So, thats all I am going to say about that.
She has just finished her 3rd cycle of clomid. 2 at 50 mg and this one at 100. She actually O'd this month on day 17. By 10 days DPO she was really feeling poor, I mean all of the pregnancy symptoms. Tired, queasy, very sore BB, hot flashes.
So, on 10 DPO we decided to take a test. She did a FRER whch had a very faint positive. I was sure that this was it because those tests have no evaporation line. The next morning she took an internet cheapy which was BFN. On Tue she took a target brand test that was a BFP, but a little outside of the timeframe. We were on the phone at all hours looking at pics of the God only knows how many tests that I convinced her to take over the next few days. On Wed a FRER came out BFN. On Thursday another target brand came out BFP TALK ABOUT DRIVING US NUTS. More e mailing pics and looking at them like forensic scientists!
Finally Thu afternoon she got a blood test which was BFN and AF decided to show up.
Had she been pregnant she would have had the same due date as my youngest DD only 6 years later.
I am weird about birthday stuff lol. My friend is actually 6 years and 1 month younger then I am. So, I am thinking maybe next month will be THE MONTH so that our kids can be 6 years and 1 month apart. Yeah, I know I am reaching here, but you never know.
BTW last month she used an OPK, but I am insisting that she chart this month as well. I hope to update this blog frequently and hopefully it will turn into a story with a happy ending for my friend's baby. I would hope that this would show he or she how much their parents (and auntie) wanted them.
