Losing Hope

Well, here I sit 12 dpo, with HPT in hand. I am driving myself crazy. I have taken two tests today...why?? I don't know. Maybe so I can torture myself just a little more looking at the blank spot where I want another line to be. You know, I have stared at it so long that I honestly think I see another one there. I have held it up to the light, PO it again, taken it apart...you name it. Again I ask, "Why do I do this to myself?"

I am sick to my stomach right now ready to cry my eyes out. DH isn't being very nice to me today as I have MIL issues. Being as I'm very hormonal right now, I don't think forcing me to be his mother's best friend is appropriate. He knows we have NOTHING in common nor agree with anything for that matter.

Let me just vent about that for a moment: She is a woman of the 40's (not literally) and I am ABSOLUTELY NOT! She called me wretched because I don't iron his clothes. I mean come on now. He's a grown adult. Anyway, sometimes I think he wants me to be his mother rather than his wife/partner/team mate. UGH! Enough about that.

Topic at hand. It's just a bad day and I need to do something for a pick me up. I know...I taped The Bachelor. YES...a grown happily married woman watching young girls kiss and google over the same guy all believing they are in love with him in 6 short weeks. I LOVE IT!!!!

	So...how long is your luteal phase normally? Is it only 12 days? You expecting AF today? If not...then it isn't time to lose hope yet. Wait until AF is really here before you deside you're out for the count. (Isn't this funny coming from me who just whined about my P4 level yesterday?) Hang in there girl.

	I honestly don't know, but I usually predict it to be 14 days. I have always had a regular cycle, but just never learned it that well. I o'd at different time so I think LP may vary a day or two as well. You are funny! We always give such great advice, but we can't seem to take it ourselves. Thanks for making me laugh/smile! I needed that!

	I hope things work out for you! I will keep my fingers crossed that very soon there will be more than just one line!

	Do you chart? If you don't you need to start! Your luteal phase is almost always the same +/- 2 days. So if you O'd later then your luteal phase would not change so if you knew how long they were, you'd know if you were out this cycle. I hate the 2ww girl! It's making me want to pull my hair out and run around screaming like a loony.

I don't chart. Do I have to have a certain thermometer? I just know me in the mornings...I get up ASAP to use the restroom and would probably forget or not think to do it before I move. Don't men have it so lucky? All they have to do is perform on command...we do that and then some. (to say the least)
I'm not counting myself out yet, but I honestly keep seeing a shadow where a line should be on the HPT

. I am psyching myself out. Then I wonder if after 13 days there could still be HCG after a trigger. UGH! more stress!
I'm not counting you out either by the way. We're in this together.

	13 days past the trigger it's out of your system. I have read about women that didn't get a + until 16dpo and later. Don't read too much into a shadow line, it's probably an evap line. If you don't get AF test again in a day or two (or 14 times between now and then if you're anything like me!) There is still plenty of hope for you this cycle!
