I am amother of 5 all 7 and under. The thing is my second youngest is a climber worse then any of the others. He is 20 months and can already grab things off the top of my frig.I do not know what to do.by the time i get him down from one place he is already starting up the next.In the mean time i am trying to tend to my 6 month old.I have a pack n play but obviously he can get out and out of the crib and even those rocking chairs with the straps. Please if you have any ideas i am willing to listen.

hi mamapeaches i would get him a climbing toy! lol seriously i would find a safe toy that is all about climbing and let him tucker himself out hahaha. girl 5 kids under 7 is hard I have only two and sometimes the youngest finds her way to the top of the fridge she is just crazy like that. LOL she is a climber and jumper and swinger LOL I just do my best to teach her how to fall without breaking anything and I take her to the park to climb on the monkey bars and get it out of her system as much as possible. tell the older kids to watch out for the younger one too so you can tend to the 6 month old. delegate know what i mean. okay miss best wishes and thanks for sharing your story!

My daughter was a climber too but I found a pack-n-play that had a net cover (like for mosquitos) that zipped on and it prevented her from getting out.
also, baby-gates to keep your little guy in one room where there is nothing to climb. If he can get over one gate, add another above it. That's what my folks had to do with their twins (my little sisters) because they'd use one another to scale the first gate, two gates is too high though. ![]() |
