Need Help... Should I have another?

I have never done this before...so forgive me I don't know how this all works but I'm in desperate need of information that I'm not getting from my OB. I recently lost my son at 30 weeks in utero. He was my 3rd and I had, had no problems with the first two. I had all the signs of preeclampsia but my OB was convinced I had renal kidney disease. So after being admitted to the hosptial at 27 weeks for observation they let me go home with no restrictions. I went in 3 weeks later for a regular check-up and he had already passed away. The autopsy showed he had no problems so she is now convinced I had preeclampsia as I am now fine. She insisted that I should not try and have any more b/c it will end in the same result. I can't help but feel there has to be other options. I have an appointment with a peri in a month for a second opinion but I'm wondering if there is anyone else out there who has had healthy babies after having preeclampsia and what you did to get to that point. Thank you.

This is a board for preeclampsia and has an ask the expert section. I hope they can of more help than me. My sister in law had preeclampsia with her first son and not her second son. Both children are alive and well. The first pregnancy was rougher on her though and she spent a lot more time in the hospital. I hope whatever you decide all goes well for you and your family. |
