Another of my favorite things, this is fun for me trying to think up all the things that I love, and it's nice to have all positive posts for a while.

I think I will make this my smelly stuff post. Here are a few items that I love:

Febreze Noticeables! They are a great plug-in air freshener. Once about three years ago, I signed up to get a free kit through some freebie site. I was hooked from then on, what a great way to get loyal users. I've had the same starter kit since then, and just buy replacement cartridges. I think they're around $4 each, and usually last a month or so on the lowest smell setting. I'm sure people know about them already, but they alternate scents so that you don't get used to a certain smell and stop noticing. When I blingo'd (lol, instead of googling, use this one and you get a chance to win a prize every search) for a picture, I found a link to some coupons for it on start sampling.

http://www.startsampling.com/sm/24730/quickQuestion.iphtml?item=24730&source=FEBNOT

I also love a new scent producing item that I got from bzzagent. The Glade Wisp Flameless Candle is awesome! I used to burn lots of candles, but small children make that impossible or at least dangerous. I've heard lots of bad things about plug-ins causing fires, so this is a great alternative. It's attractive and smells so good, plus it gives off a warm glow like a candle. What luck! They also have a coupon on their website. I love when companies do that.

For making my body smell good, I've always been a huge fan of Bath and Body Works (http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/home/index.jsp). Every time there's a sale (like NOW!! hurry!) I stock up on every product that they make. I love the cool variety of scents in their Wallflowers, the moisturizing antibacterial hand soaps, the awesome lotions and creamy body washes. My most recent favorite scent is Japanese Cherry Blossom, but they have many other great scents. I'm so stocked up it's not funny, but I know they are having an awesome sale right now for Mother's Day.

I do have more favorites, but nap time is almost over. I am getting a kick out of the posts, so I will try to keep it up.

A few of my favorite things...I could be like Oprah, if anyone ever read my blog. :tumbleweed

Soooo, my absolute favorite thing this week is an awesome pay to click site, with absolutely no strings attached. I have seen a million sites, and most of them require you to sign up for "free" trials, then go through the hassle of remembering to cancel. One of my other favorite sites gives me points for shopping through their portal and clicking on emails, but the points add up kind of slowly. This one has a potential for $25 EVERY EIGHT DAYS, which to me is just incredible.

I joined it in March, but I always hate to recommend something to my friends until I am positive it's legitimate. Since March, I have received $100 in Target gift cards and have another $200 in Target and Visa gift cards on the way to me.

In just this week, I had one of the best weeks ever. I hit 100,000 lifetime points, which gets me a 10% point bonus daily and allows me to get the gift cards that much sooner. I won their daily trivia contest, and I think I earned a coffee mug for that. I got 20,000 bonus points for 5 referrals, which enabled me to cash in for a $50 GC. Finally, we also received a gift card in the mail, which I am using to save for our summer vacation.

I am not one to spam my friends or family members with invitations for places like this, but if you want an invitation, I'd be glad to send one out to you. Just let me know, and I'll send you my list of how to max out your points the fastest way. I've put a lot of thought and effort into making it an effortless earning potential, and I've figured you can make a minimum of $100 a month doing this for around 30 minutes a day. Not too shabby.

This week, as people were admiring the Rock Star and not her: "I came out first."

In a large public space, mysteriously silent at the time: "I have two moms." She has a whole other imaginary family. They have a dog and a brother, not a rotten sister. She does not have two moms, not that there's anything wrong with that. (Am I the only one who still loves Seinfeld?)

Another crowded public space, to a girl who happened to ask her if she likes Elmo: "Well, I DON'T like Elmo in Grouchland, because there's too much POOP." Guess she meant garbage?

--------------

I can't believe I haven't posted for a whole month. It's just crazy busy with work these days, and I am looking forward to a break very soon. We've got some great vacations coming up as well as a wedding or two. I'm also intending to cut back a lot on my hours at work.

--------------

Here is some shameless bragging on my kids now. Feel free to skip on to the pictures if you like.

Tonight we went out to dinner to a Japanese steakhouse where they cook at your table. We were there for almost two hours, and the people who shared the table with us remarked as we were leaving, "Your girls are so well-behaved. You must take them out with you often." (we do, babysitters are expensive.)

We had K's preschool conferences a few weeks back, and the teacher let us know that she tested her with sight word flashcards out of curiosity. K read as far as she had, up to 3rd grade level, "and she wasn't even sounding them out!" This wasn't really a surprise to us, since I have an elementary ed degree with a reading emphasis. I still like to hear it. Too bad she'll still be too young for kindergarten in the fall.

The Rock Star is doing so much! She has all her teeth except the eye teeth already, and is running and climbing. These aren't necessarily motor skills I want her to have, but I guess they're required at this age. She talks a lot. I should try to write down all the words she's saying. Off the top of my head, she says BALL (but it's anything round at all). She's so obsessed with all things round. Book, my shoe (which she's always taking off), baby, sock (also off), shirt, kitty, gog or puppy, kack kack (what a duck says), bumpy, my poopy (sigh), boobee (sigh, but it's also what she calls her belly button), eyes (while gouging them out of whoever she's near), nose, ear, belly, oh burp (sigh).

I guess that's enough bragging. I am just needing to remember some good things because the Rock Star still doesn't sleep more than a couple of hours at a time, wakes often to nurse, and refuses to even consider giving up nursing. I'm not trying to force her, but I'd like it to happen soon. K is also asserting some independence and has been kind of snotty to me lately. She may also have attempted to get rid of her sister a few times. I'm not entirely certain she understood the consequences of letting her sister out into the parking lot (among a couple of other things) but sibling rivalry is high. They battle it out for my attention and every toy, book, blanket, etc., that we own.

Wow, just took so long to do this and realized I haven't uploaded the pictures I intended to use. That will have to wait till tomorrow. Happy Mother's Day to all my cohorts.

Okay, this phrase strikes me as a tad, well a lot, smug, but this is really how I feel these past few months. I can't help it, so forgive me if it seems obnoxious to you.

Full disclosure: I never thought I'd be a stay at home mom. As a teenager I thought stay at home moms were lazy, and had the misconception that my mom always worked terribly hard (the truth was she stayed at home through our toddler years). I thought that modern conveniences such as the dishwasher made the job of SAHM redundant at best. What possible fulfillment could there be in babysitting your kids all day and cleaning?

True, teenagers are kind of dumb that way, but my bias stuck with me, right up until I got preggers. I suddenly saw myself at an odd spot, I'd be 6 mos along when I graduated grad school. Who the hell would hire a 6 mos pregnant woman for a full time career job? So, I started to work at my husbands business as bookkeeper, slipping into a management role. I worked there full time, being 9 mos pregnant did not stop me from extending my hours until they nearly matched my husband's 11, 12 hr days. It was fun. Then boom. One day I didn't feel well enough to go into work. I was in early labor and my baby girl was born.

I hadn't come up with a plan, exactly, but by then it was understood I'd be home with our baby at least a while. But once she was born I knew as long as we could afford it (and do I feel lucky that we can!) I would be home with her. I had no idea that the mothering hormones would take me over, mind, body and soul. She'd be the first thing on my mind in the morning, and the last thing on my mind at night. I didn't mind that she woke me up in the night, because at least I got a nice nighttime reassurance she was doing well.

After the first couple of months I started to feel the guilt of being a SAHM, after all, before that point I thought it was a stupid, lazy thing to do. I was conflicted, I wasn't sure exactly what my hubby felt. Luckily he started making more frequent comments about how glad he was that we don't need to put our mini daughter in daycare, and I could relax, and slip into the role.

I'm no longer embarrassed to say that I'm a SAHM, no longer embarrassed about keeping the place clean and trying out new recipes for dinner. Most of all I'm happy that I can indulge my new identity 'as a mom' fully because it's made me a new person.

As a mom there is a person for whom I'd die for in an instant, endure any pain, without a second thought.

As a mom there is a person for whom I'd kill, maim, destroy.

As a mom I judge all of the strangers around me, those I wouldn't have even noticed before.

As a mom a whole new world of cuteness has opened up to me... there are a lot of very cute babies out there!

As a mom I am the happiest, most fulfilled and luckiest I've ever been.

My baby's sweet two-tooth-smile is the best mother's day gift I could ask for.

A long week!

A birthday party, a trip to the ER, an interview, and a receding tooth!!!!! A hecktic week in my house!!!

So, last Wendsday was DH birthday so I took him fishing, no big, we werent gone long becouse he had to go to work. On Thursday, I start cleaning up for the big party on Friday, it took all day with Bella crying for me everytime I put her down, I didnt get all done, but at least I got most of the ticks off of the dog, ewwww!!! We noticed on Wednsday(ish) that Bellas first tooth was coming in!! Which explains the fussiness on Thursday. Friday I had to go shopping first thing in the morning, then setup for the party. We were having a bonfire, so that included hauling wood and setting up places to sit and eat. Towards the end of the party DH decides he wants to go see Iron Man(good movie!) So we check showtimes and go to the last show, getting home around midnight. Saturday, of course is cleanup time(more fussiness).
On Sunday it gets really fun!! My dad gets sick, we think its what DH and I had the week before, tummy thing with throwing up and such. But dads is worse. He ended up passing out 2-3 times trying to get up to throw up!! When he passed out on the toilet and fell into the shower, I decided it was time to call mom to come home( I had been alone with him up till then) By the time she came home, the bump on his head had swollen to the size of a large egg, and he seemed a little hazy. After that it started getting scary. We decide to take him to the ER, just in case he had a concussion. Well getting him upstairs seemed to be to much for him, when he sat down to get his shoes put on, he passed out again, and this time he started to throw up again, it took me and mom both to hold him so he wouldnt choke. That was when I called 911. It was the first time I had ever done that. It took at least a half hour for them to get there!! It was a little unnerving to see an oxygen mask on my daddy. He was in the ER for a few hours, when they decided he was stable and moved him to the ICU. Monday was really scary, they were trying to figure out what he had, and throwing around some lifethreatening illnesses. He was in the ICU for two and a half days. Wednesday they moved him out the ICU and yesterday he came home. They never figured out what it was he has. He isnt completely better, a little weak, and sick, but much better!
On Wednesday, I noticed Bellas tooth seemed to be getting smaller. I thought it was my imagination, but I noticed today, ITS GONE!!!!!! I have no idea what happened, I have never heard of a receding tooth before!! Any ideas?????
Today I had an interview at DH work. I drove and hour there in the rain, and when I walk in the door the HR lady is leaving a voicemail on my fone to let me know that the interview is cancelled becouse the opening she found for me is in the same house my husband works in and we cant work together, even on opposite shifts!!

So I have had a long week. And this is a long post, so if youve made it this far, thanks so much for reading!!!
And really, the tooth thing, any comments, ideas, advice, suggestions?? I think I will consult Google. She doesnt have a Dr. appt till June and the fone system at this office is set up specifficaly to deter questions imo!!

Thanks again!!!!!

We got tired of trying, so we had sex like 2 times in April and I got a test last night, just more to rule it out, and there it was, a plus sign, big as life. I have now taken 2 more, and there it was, big as life. Holy Crap! My husband said his sperm must have heard how much the doctor said the IVF was going to cost. lol.

First appointment is Wednesday. I am soooo excited!

Dating scammers: dating site view

Well, my experience of managing Gimeney.Net (http://en.gimeney.net)last half year brought me some ideas and thoughts i'd like to share with you.

Geography of scammers.

On our site scammers mostly (99%) coming from 3 geographic regions:

1) Central Africa. I guess i've got less than 5 real singles from some african countries. But in half year i've blocked about hundred scammers from there. After i got such statistic i've decided to block african subnets at all. Mostly they are:
- Republic of Ghana
- Ivory coast / Côte d'Ivoire
- Nigeria
- Burkina Faso
- Senegal
- Gambia

Scam from there is mostly so-called 'African scam'. It's about some huge deposit of money in african bank, but to obtain it u need to pay a bit.
Other version: is poor beautiful girl got to africa, lost her money and can't come back to be yours.

2) Lugansk, Ukraine
Sexy photos -> Polite sexy talks about nothing -> I like you SOOO MUCH -> Gimme the money for something...

3) Yoshkar-Ola, Russia
Same scheme as Lugansk one.

There are some more scammers places but very few of them.

How to recognize SCAMMER. Some useful signs.

1) Most scammers pretending sexy girls/women.
2) First impression is going from photo. Look at photo. Try to describe it in one word. If this word is - boobies/sexy/omg hot hot. it's +1 she/he is scammer
3) If you see that all photos made in different interiors and all looks like from magazine (no life photos or photos not from one studio set), it's +1 she/he is scammer
4) If you see one single sexy photo. +1 she/he is scammer
5) If woman/girl with sexy photos contact you first, well, man. Depends on your personality ofc, but anyway +1 she/he is scammer
6) If woman's first mail is unpersonalized, not addressed to you exactly (not using your name, specific profile details), it's possible SPAM/SCAM
7) Once again, accept it. Sexy girls usually don't look for guys. But waiting to be found. And they have no problems with men's attention.
8) If woman/girl want to get ANY money, For ANYTHING - it's fake and scam. Reason can be really dramatic: sick mom or child for example. Meet first. And would be better if your or her meeting tour and apartments will be arranged by some tour-operator and paid by yourself (if you pay the money). Dont' save them by following promises to make it's twice cheaper and so on. U can just lose your money.
9) If she want's gifts or something, please keep in mind that it's gift to unknown anonymous person who posted profile and photos on the website.
10) If first message looks like "you may contact me by email noname@myname.com" it's really possible scammer, who want' to move out of dating site to avoid automatic scam/spam detection mechanisms.
11) if you moved from dating site to the emails exchange, try to search her email on www.google.com . You can be really surprised. Also if you know how to view originating IP address in email headers, u may check it where it's came from on http://all-nettools.com/ for example.

Paid sites vs. Free sites

Just keep in mind that all big sites built to make a business. To earn money.
Free sites. usually earns on additional services or advertisements. And they interested just in more customers and good responses from ex-customers.
Paid sites. they earns money on memberships and/or contacts selling. So their work is to interest people to pay. To do it some sites post fake photos, fake profiles with nice boobies. Sexy girls contacts you and waiting for you behind the payment. And disclaimer frees such sites from any responsibility. So no different between free and paid except spending money. Sometimes really big money.

About gold diggers

Gold diggers are real persons. You can meet them and spend some time together. But the their purpose is not creating family. The just want to get some money/car/flat/jewels. Depends on your pocket.

My opinion is that it's outside of dating services. It's just between men and women. And it's up to you how you deal each other.
