How C Became The Rock Star

The hubby and I were having a terrible time coming up with names for the new baby, but K knew exactly what she was going to call her baby. She has always loved the music reality shows, so her new baby was going to be called Rock Star.

We thought long and hard about names, got down to a few, but still K insisted her sister's name was Rock Star. My water broke in the middle of the night 3 weeks early, so we had to take K to the hospital with us. My sister came up and met us to stay with K while they did the C-section (she was breech and too stubborn to turn), but she had to go to work. After I was in recovery, K came in to stay with us in the room and got to meet her baby sister for the first time. She tiptoed up so she didn't wake her up and whispered, "Hi, Rock Star. I've been waiting to meet you."

We knew we had to have an R for her middle initial. Everyone else thinks they know her middle name, but ask K sometime. The R stands for Rock Star.
