We are getting ready to take our first trip on a plane and I'm trying to figure out what car seat and stroller to take to use on vacation.

DH bought a set of those wheels that allow you to roll the kid around in the convertible car seat while you're at the airport. Has anyone seen or used those? I'm seems like a pretty good idea. But, I'm really not thrilled with the idea of 'checking' my Britax seat to begin with - it was expensive and I don't want it to get yucky, although we're also thinking of buying a travel bag to put it in. If I don't bring the convertible seat, I could always bring the bucket car seat, I suppose.

Then there's the issue of the stroller. Ours is too big and bulky, so I'm thinking that I should look for a used one to have for travel. I don't love the idea of buying all this extra stuff - ugh! I'm going to check out a consignment sale next weekend, and maybe I will look at Craigslist and eBay tonight. But I'm curious to know what you guys bring when you travel.
