Default Finnegan's Appointment

Well, the doctor said that "everything" Finn-related is very reassuring. He gained .5 lb since Tuesday-- he weighed in at 12 lb 3 oz today-- his belly was nice and soft, his lungs sound great, and he has a great set of them, as illustrated by the lovely screaming fit he had at the office, lol. And his heart sounds good. Ears looked great, mouth was all-clear.

Based on everything I told him, he said it could be 1 of 3 things-- either Finn had a gastro something or other virus (because his poop has been like water), he has reflux or he is a colicky babe. He said if it is reflux, it should resolve by 4 months. He could prescribe something, but it is really only recommended in extreme situations (this is just what he told me)-- and if we can tolerate the crying, that's probably what we should do. He said that most babies have some type of reflux just because of their immature digestive system (interesting).
So, he said colic is most likely what we are dealing with. Keep an eye on him, call the office on Monday and let them know how he is doing. He printed off a bunch of information for me to read, he said there might be some info in there that I will find useful.

I'm sure there was more, but I have a migraine building right now-- bleh.
