Wow I went from feeling discouraged that I'd never be able to go into labor spontaniously to suddenly waking up with contractions and giving birth 2.5 hours later!
I was planning a homebirth (kept quiet about it) with a midwife, but ended up with a homebirth on my own, while the midwife was driving here! Water birth, I had only just got in the pool and suddenly needed to push. Kaya woke up just in time to video it, while the other girls slept. The midwife got here by the time I was in bed and had already delviered the placenta.
It was an awesome, amazing birth experience. I'm sky high, on cloud 9. It was about, almost 6 hours ago.
And I had a baby BOY!! I was SO shocked by that. He's called Glenn Douglas. He's sleeping, has been nursing well. Is healthy and perfect.
