Thrush doesn't have to be treated w/ a prescription... in fact some of them won't work because they contain sugar, which feeds yeast.

I had nipple-bleeding thrush with DS and tried several different options to clear it. Gentian violet works REALLY well, but stains. We used GSE and it was gone in 3 days flat.

GSE = GrapeFRUIT seed extract, not grapeseed extract. You can get it at most health food stores, or online. It has many more purposes than treating thrush, of course Anyway... from Dr. Jay Gordon:
