Sorry it's a no go for the version; but let me say this: I've had 3 c-sections so far. This will be my 4th. My worst recovery - and I still don't consider that it was all that bad - was my first after 14 hours of unproductive labor. The scheduled sections were a breeze. Sure there was surface pain from the incision and sure I had to pamper myself a little with not doing some of the "strenuous" chores of the house (vacuuming, mopping, lifting) but who couldn't enjoy a break from those things KWIM? But by the time I came home from the hospital, I was pretty much getting around fine. My advice is not to give in to the surface pain by stooping over. The sooner you get yourself upright, the sooner you'll "work out" that soreness and you'll be moving like normal. Also any type of supportive panel or girdle to keep some pressure against the incision will help you too. If you don't have that, then having a little throw pillow to hold against your tummy when you are getting up and down will work too. You're going to do great! Your attitude is a key to a fast recovery and it sounds like you have a great outlook on everything!
