Re: Anyone with a heart shaped Uterus?
Lurking....
I have one (Bicornuate), and Im on my 3rd baby. Im so surprised that the dr actually said that. Very unprofessional. Id tell your friend to look for a different dr/OB. Also tell her NOT to google and research things on the internet. Causes more stress and it tends to be wrong. Having one is common, believe it or not. Does she know how far down her septum goes. Mine is mild. There are many types, mild to severe. There is just not one main kind of a heart shappe uterus. All depends on the septum. You can also have surgery to fix/correct it.
My kids were born term with perfect weights and were both vaginal births. My first was actually late. 8 days late and weighed almost 7lbs. My second was 3 days early and was almost 8lbs. My second was also breech until 37 weeks, when he turned.
The baby will grow on one side but can able to use the other side. The ligement stretching will be worse than normal, but bearable. Spotting throughout the pgncy is usual and normal too.
One bad thing is when you get our PPAF back, it will be VERY heavy and clotty, which is normal. Each time Ive gone into the ER to help...TMI...unclog me and to get some estrogen pills to slow the flow. But its normal. Myppaf came at 5/6 weeks, both times. The ppbleeding went straight into AF, and I was exclusively bfing too.
I wish your friend well. Hope she has a great pgncy.
