Default 36 week appt & Labor Talk

I can't believe we actually had the "official" labor talk today. I feel like I've talked labor so much before with my OBs. Anyway, my instructions are that the minute my water breaks or I feel contractions that are 5-7 minutes apart and are increasing with intensity, I need to call. Because I've had a c/s before they don't want me to wait and labor at home. They want to keep a close eye on my c/s scar so that it doesn't rupture. If I don't go into labor on my own, they will induce me at 39 weeks and probably not any later. I would have to go on Pitocin (not allowed to have Cervadil) and if the induction doesn't get labor going, then we will do a repeat c/s. She said that if my body doesn't progress, the progression could be happening on my incision site, which would not be a good thing.

I had my first internal and I was 1 centimeter dilated, 50% effaced, and at -2 station. She was able to feel the baby's head and said my cervix felt very "soft and squishy". When I left she said, "See you next week, if not before." I doubt I will deliver before, but she did give me the go ahead to try all the old wives tales of how to get labor going. Matt was afraid it would be too early but she said we are good to go.

It's weird to think I have 3 weeks left at the most. I am praying I go into labor on my own which makes me a bit nervous too. Every night when I wake 4 times to go to the bathroom, I wonder if my water will break (water must be on the brain!). I never got to experience going into labor on my own the last time so I am getting anxious.

Nothing much else to report. Kate's been kissing my tummy a lot lately but I don't think she has any clue why. We never say the baby is in Mommy's belly or anything like that, because we just don't think she'd get it. I did hold a baby a few weeks ago at a friend's house and she was a bit jealous and wanted me to hold her - not Matt. The same day she also picked up another kid's bottle and tried to drink out of it. I can't remember the last time she had a bottle, but apparently she does! Her newest thing, as of yesterday, is pulling the front of my shirt down to look at my boobs. I know they've gotten a little bigger but seriously, she hasn't had those since Christmas Eve! I hope she's not wanting to nurse in a few weeks. I am prepared to give her some EBM in a sippy but the nursing bar is closed to her.
