Don't worry about the gross factor...that's what makes these boards so helpful.

So far, from personal experience, I have only lost a bit of my plug once and it was with my first. It was a good 2-3wks before he was born. I'm one who has walked around a good 3+cm dilated with three of my four for weeks as well. However, from what you're describing, I would guess that it is part of your plug. As you've probably read, it isn't necessarily indicative of having baby anytime 'too' soon. Of course, if you feel uneasy about it, call your doc, but I would personally probably wait it out until tomorrow if I didn't continue to lose more and/or have other significant symptoms of labor.
