If they suspect IUGR and your OB doesn't have the hottest u/s equipment, then it's well within the normal range to see your peri every week from now on. I was seen twice a week beginning at 28 weeks on. Once a week for an u/s w/ my OB and once a week for an u/s w/ my peri. That was a compromise to keep me from driving 45 min. one way to see my peri twice a week. My Ruby was IUGR and it was a very good thing to keep an eye on her. The thing with IUGR is that they can't alway discern before delivery what the cause is, so that means that something could change (for better or worse) and they can't predict it. So, they watch closely to monitor any and all changes.
For us, Ruby grew on her own curve, but always had borderline fluid issues and cord dopplers. She was definitely under stress, but it made her feisty

The girls were delivered via c/s at 32 wks 1 day because she was starting to plateau on her own curve. She actually did better after delivery than her twin, being used to fighting and all.
I'm really happy to hear how well you're being watched. Enjoy all the extra u/s! We KNEW the girls' personalities SO well by the time they were born. Very cool.
