Today was my first of my weekly appts till delivery. I had a biophysical profile u/s and Miss Presley is doing great! She is a whopping 5 pounds 3 oz (appx). She has turned on me - now breech - which explains those jabs to the bladder and cervix I just started noticing. I say she got tired of standing on her head.

Not a big deal - she has time to turn back over and besides I have c-sections, so it's not a big deal for delivery anyway. I'd really like to not have to go through 6 more weeks of straight down kicks however.

She is doing her practice breathing like a champ and I could even see my belly moving rhythmically this evening on the side where her back is against the wall of my uterus. I am assuming that was from her inhaling and exhaling fluid. It was too smooth and constant to be hiccups or from kicks. It was pretty neat to watch.
Anyway, barring any sudden decrease in activity, increase in BP, or significant decrease in the efficiency of my placenta doing its job, we will be delivering on June 23rd (just 3 days prior to my due date). So only 5 more weekly appts, then the following week would be my delivery week!

How exciting - although I still have a few more things to do to be completely ready. It's coming together. Then as soon as I am recovered enough to get the go ahead from my doc - I'll be back on this bandwagon to losing these pregnancy pounds. I will have exceeded my goal of no more than 30 pounds, but I'm just not going to fret over that. A healthy baby is my goal. I got these pounds off before. I know how to do it and I CAN DO IT AGAIN!!!! I'm sitting at 33 pounds as of today and I figure I'll probably add another 10 before this is over. I'm not going to beat myself up over it though. I've eaten healthy for most all of my pregnancy; but lately, I have been hungry a lot. Hoping that now that fruits are abundant, I can get some good assortments in my fridge to snack on instead of cookies, brownies, and ice cream! LOL We'll see.
Thanks for letting me update. You girls are still family and I know I will need you to see my way back to a thinner me very soon.
