Sara, we had our backyard landscaped last year. The company that did it took all the sod out and we just showed them where we wanted our play area and the deminsions and they took it all out for us. We then put down the weed cloth. The border wasn't too pricey. I can't remember the exact cost, but it was something like $40 for two 8 feet pieces. We then had to buy the metal stakes also.
