Success with One? (kinda long)
I know some of you know me, but I thought I'd reintroduce myself.
I'm Julie, mom of one-year old twins conceived on my 11th IUI as a last ditch effort because we had leftover sperm from my failed IVF in May. It was my last hurrah to TTC and it worked.
Anyway, after meeting with my new RE, he read my chart and asked me if my old RE reimbursed me for my failed IVF, I gave him a flabbergasted look and he said, "because they broke your eggs trying to ICSI them due to an inexperienced lab tech." WHAAAAT???? It was right there, in black and white on my chart. "Broken eggs, possibly due to egg quality, most likely due to lab tech lack of ICSI experience."
He also said, "Obviously you don't have poor egg quality, because you got pregnant with twins 2 months later." Ugh.
He agreed that me getting pregnant with another IUI was a long shot, given that we're dealing with severe MF.
So, we're going to transfer one 5-day blast only (While I love my twinkies, I delievered them at 32 weeks and I'm afraid to get pregnant with another set). Although he said it's my choice.
He thinks I should have success. Would you agree? Should I risk putting two in? I'm scared either way.
