DH prepped our ground for our playset by himself. He pulled up all the sod, put the lawn fabric down and then covered it with about a foot of 'play mulch' (I think the recommendation is 9 inches to prevent spine injuries in a fall). We have a local mulch company that sells it in bulk and it is what all the local playgrounds use.
