Icon9 Newbie with fibroids and myomectomy ???'s

I am new to this site and have to say thanks to all for all your helpful information! This is the first site I have found where everyone is so straight forward and informative! I just found out I have one fibroid that is a little bit larger than 5cm and there may be more but the doc couldn't tell because he thought this one might be blocking his view during the ultrasound. He has scheduled me for a laproscopic myomectomy at the end of this month. He said it would be 2 to 3 weeks of recovery time depending on whether he has to make a small incision right above my pelvic line in order to suture the uterus shut. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the fibroid is inside my uterus and is causing displacement of the lining as well as enlarging of my uterus. Can I expect to recover this quickly? What else can I expect after the surgery? My doc says I will have to have a c-section if I get pregnant in the future. Is that true? I do not have any children yet, but am hoping that after the surgery I will be able to get pregnant. I have had one miscarriage about 7 years ago and am wondering if this fibroid may have been part of the reason. Any advice to someone fixing to go in for this procedure? I am very nervous!
