Appt today
BP 144/102. The dr I had today is the one that delivered Evann. This is only the second time I saw her this PG but she is super nice. She told me that she won't increase my meds anymore, and the problem with Aldomet is that it generally doesnt work... heh. She said it *may* be too early since my med increase on Thursday to know whether it is actually working or not, but it won't be increased at this point. She can't even remember the last time someone in their office has been on 500mg/4x daily.
She ordered bloodwork to assess my kidney function, etc and I have to do a 24 hr urine collect tomorrow and drop it on Wednesday. If all is normal, I go back next Tuesday at 2:30pm (which she personally made that appt herself!) If there is something abnormal, I will find out about the blood tomorrow and the urine by the end of the week.
She said ultimately another 3-4 weeks would be great... but they would prefer it they could atleast get another TWO. TWO WEEKS??? OMG!! I could really have him in as little as two weeks???
She also told me that they dont want my BP to get really low either. My body is used to a rate of 140/90 range... if it gets in the lower ranges it could be a shock to my system- the placenta and the baby are used to my body pumping blood at a rate of what it's been.... so it's kind of like a game at this point!!
She ended the appt by telling me good job for making it this far and I have holding up well and doing well considering all I have been through. Looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel soon =)
