I only had one pair - they stayed pretty sticky throughout the day. They only take a minute or so to dry anyway so if you wash them when you start nursing they are ready to go by the time you are done.

As much as I love them (and will use them again), I personally wouldn't recommend them for immediate use. They keep your nipple compressed and you don't leak at all. When you first begin nursing it is easy, easy to get engorged and I think leaking is a good thing early on. I began using the LilyPadz when I went back to work when my little girl was 4 months old. I'll get a pair right away this time for use when I'm out in public but I'll use something else at home for the first couple of months
