I fought charting too........I took me a year to start charting. Some doctors will say that charting is not necessary.

I don't chart anymore but since I was charting for a few years I know my cycles are regular and I know when I ovulate.

A good fertility sign is the clear stretchy mucous that you see on the tissue when you wipe. Not all women have it but if you notice it, then you know you should be BD'ing because that stuff is perfect for nourishing sperm and helping them get where they need to be and you will usually only see it around ovulation time. Some women don't get much or only get a little watery around ovulation time. Charting will help you to know what your body does. You don't have to surrender the rest of your life to it, but it helps
