hi and welcome to the board.

Fibroids in the uterine wall can mis-shape the uterus enough to hinder implantation. 1cm is awfully small- I've had a couple 2cm ones with all my pregnancies. So for so good. I also had a myomectomy- I have 6 large fibroids- we're talking like an orange, golf ball, etc. That surgery left scar tissue in my uterus but thankfully it was removed during my hysteroscopy (my 2nd fibroid surgery). I got pregnant with my first child 6 months later...naturally.

Most people I know do get pregnant after they remove their fibroids- I highly reccommend it- especially if they are big and is mis-shapping the uterus. Plus they can grow -like yours seems to be doing and really get in the way. They could very well be ther reason for your infertilty. They were why it took me 5 years to get pregnant. Now 3 children later I am still very glad I had the surgery- mine was very serious- 2 months bed-rest and 10 months wait to ttc again. I had my hysteroscopy to remove inner fibroids a year later.

Good luck May 15th- keep us posted.
