Default Re: New Here

Hi Mel!!
I'm so glad you came here to ask your ?s!! That's what we're here for!
I think it really depends on how many weeks your twins were born at. If they were full term then they'll sleep longer earlier than twins that were born immaturely. It also depends on how big they are and how fast they are growing.
I think that the stage you are in right now was the hardest for me and my DH. The waking every 3 hours was reallllly rough on the both of us. Something that helped us out that you may want to try was we would both feed them at 9pm and then I'd wake up and feed them at midnight and he'd wake up and feed them at 3am - or something like that - so we would each get a stretch of 6 hours of sleep to function.
ARe you breast feeding?
The sleeping for long stretches doesn't USUALLY happen until a few months from now.
Hang in there girl! You're doing awesome and actually mine were put on a 4 hour feed when they were a month old so that helped. I thihk that will probably be your next step.
And also, ask your ped what he/she'd suggest when it comes to feedings. If you have big babies then they'll probably let them go longer in between feeds.

Sorry for all the rambling but I hope it helps!!!
