HI and WELCOME! My two would definitely let us know when they were hungry and woke up pretty much on that 3 hour schedule. If one would sleep, we would just wake him or her up to feed at the same time. I think you will find that the babies WILL let you know when they are ready. I can't remember when they slept for 6 hours straight. I do know that it was around 4-5 months when our daughter started sleeping thought the night:-)
