Hi all! I am pregnant with b/g twins. Seems like my boy got off to what the dr called a slow start, but is growiing ok now. However, he is still pretty small. She is 3 lb. 6 oz and he is 2 lb. 2 oz (estimates). Well, they say he is in the 13% for growth and anything under 10% is when they react. Well, 13 isnt that far above 10!! He said we can rule out IUGR since he has grown the right amount or something like that. He also checked his bloodflow several times. Well, today he decides there is enough discordinance (?)in their size to warrant seeing me in one week rather than two. I am fine with that. Well, the nurse got the peris notes and I mentioned thatt I thought he was more concerned than he let on. She says that it is getting to the point where they will have to decide if it is better to deliver them or let them stay put. So...has anyone encountered this? I am sorta nervous. I am almost 30 weeks, I am on bedrest in the hospital b/c I am 100% effaced (and have been for 2 weeks!) I have had the steroid shots. I have GD and some rare instance of insulin resistance/antibodies and I am on LARGE doses of insulin 4 times a day. The endo, my ob and the peri are all perplexed. And I am on bp meds...so I am having a lot of problems. I really don't need the added stress about thier sizes. I am really worried about my little baby boy! Is this something I need to worry about or am I being a worry wart?? Thanks for reading...sorry this is so long!
