First, I am sorry for your loss.

Second, Metformin will not keep you from trying for another pregnancy, as a matter of fact many doctors believe that it reduces miscarriage rates. Your insulin was very high so it is a good idea (IMHO) to take the Met.

There are many women with PCOS who have "normal" cycles and are not overweight. There are lots of articles out there that you can read that may really be helpful. PCOS is a common issue and is very treatable so don't let it freak you out.

Make sure you take the Met with food as it can make you queasy and it can give you loose stools as well, so talk to your doc if you have problems.

I have been diagnosed with PCOS for years and been taking Met off and on for quite a while so if you have specific questions feel free to ask me.
