Default Re: Help...she wont take a bottle...

I feel for ya! E was the same way...and I had to go back to work, so she had to figure it out. I was sooo stressed about it because I didn't want her screaming the whole time I was gone.

What finally worked for us were the latex nipples that go on the Playtex Drop-In bottles. They had to be latex, not silicone. It helped if the person feeding her walked around with her as opposed to sitting down, which is super tiresome on the arms, but better than having a screaming baby. And I can't be in the house...if she can sense me around, she STILL won't take a bottle.

The first time she took a bottle without fighting was after weeks of trying everything under the sun. I was at my wit's end, so DH and I left her with my mom for about four hours. I expected to come home to a very unhappy baby. Instead, I came home to a contented, sleeping baby. She took it no problem when she was hungry enough and when I wasn't around. It also helped that my mom was much calmer about it than either DH or I was.

Hope this helps, even if a little. I know how tough it is!!!!! But kudos to you to doing it times two!!!!
