Default My story

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on this board for a few weeks now and decided finally to post a little about myself.

My DH and I were married June 2005....almost 3 years already! God has been so good to us in so many ways. I am an elementary music teacher in our local school district, which I love. It's a great feeling going to work everyday and loving what you are doing. I teach instrumental music, which can be alot of fun (and a challenge at times!). DH just changed careers this year after being laid off from his old job on our anniversary (what timing.). He was unemployed for 3 months over the summer which set us back quite a bit. But again, God was faithful in opening a door to a new job. So our jobs have been the focus for quite awhile now, but underneath that all we wanted was to start a family. My whole life I have dreamed of one day being a mommy. I think that motherhood is such a high calling, and I have prayed for years that I would be ready to love and care for a little one.

After a lot of prayers and discussion, my DH and I decided to start trying in september 2007. I definitely assumed it would be easy to get pg, especially since my cycle has been very regular for years. I am realizing now how easy it is to take getting pg for granted.

We are on our 7th cycle of trying, and it is getting harder and harder to stay optimistic. I am having a much harder time in the last few weeks after finding out that SIX women in our small-ish church are pregnant. We are very close to most of them, so it seems like pregnancy is everywhere. I am so frusterated with myself and how hard it is feel truly happy for them. There isn't a reason to be upset with any of them!! I'm sure many of you on this board know what I am talking about.

You know when you are looking to buy a new car, all you notice are the different cars on the road. Before it didn't really matter. Well pregnancy is EVERYWHERE right now!

I just keep praying and asking God to give me peace in this time of waiting.

Just wanted to share.....I have been feeling very alone in this and really need someone to go to.

Praying for the women on this board!
