Sometimes doctors will do an u/s to monitor egg development, in addition to you using OPKs. But I think it's pretty common for OBs to just have you do self-monitoring.
If you want to see a specialist, like if you want to move beyond clomid or get more monitoring. You would ask for a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist. But many OBs are comfortable working with clomid, so you will probably be able to work with your own doc for a few cycles.
