Hey, well, since I lurk here all the time still, I thought I should post my success story!

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in college and put on the birth control pill to give me regular cycles, because I NEVER had periods, seriously. Like, 1 or 2 a year, MAYBE, and when they came, they were terrible.
Well, so, I read too many articles about PCOS in Seventeen magazine back in the day and it scared me to death about the idea of not being able to have children. But luckily I found a great doc here who put me on Glucophage and Clomid to up my chances of getting pregnant.
I took Glucophage (Metformin) alone for a while, and it regulated my periods but no BFP. Then I took 2 rounds of Clomid at 50 mg in addition to the Metformin and no BFP, although I WAS gettting periods (which made me excited). Finally, this last time I was bumped up to 100mg of Clomid with the Metformin and that apparently did the trick!! I got a BFP 12 DPO (and 13 DPO, and 14, LOL). It's still hard to believe it's real, I don't think it will fully hit me till my first ultrasound which will be Dec. 10. I'm very excited but also nervous, because the rate of miscarriage for women with PCOS is pretty high...I"m just hoping and praying this little bean sticks.
Hope this helps!!!
