The Senate passed a bill Tuesday saying mothers can breastfeed their children in any public place.
Nothing in the current law specifically prohibits mothers from breastfeeding in public but, this new legislation sets a fine up to $200 for anyone that interferes with a breastfeeding mother.
The Assembly version remains in committee and must pass the Assembly and be signed by Governor Jim Doyle before it becomes law.
So... next time someone bothers you, get their name or call the police.
