A LOT of WAHMs make slings and sell them for much less than the big companies do. I do have a sewing machine and have made a ring sling for ds and really more slings for litlest dc than are reasonable, lol.

I'm not in business yet since I stilll work four jobs outside of the home, but I'm sure you can find another mom who can whip something up for you for not much money when you can afford it.

I also see hotslings at the consignment store for $10 and Nojos (which is what I used for dd) and OTSBs (which I used for ds) at thrift stores around here for $5. They aren't the greatest, but they were the newest hottest thing when my teens were tots and they worked.

Congratulations on your first wrap! I really do think they mean more when you make them yourself.
