So after all my research and thinking, we decide to go ahead with the flu shot. Our ped only had the flu shot w/preservative which I did not like but I decided to go ahead. OK....So I made the appt. Then last week, we all got sick (gotta love just starting day care ) and I called to ask/verify a question I had. While on the phone, I asked which manuf flu shot they have. "Oh, we are calling everyone to cancel" Well come to find out, a staff member left the fridge open overnight, ALL the vax's and flu shots had to be thrown out. They will not be able to order more and are referring to the state health dept or another ped office. Now, I understand mistakes happen but geez louise....this really stinks.... So I have called around and of course he has to be seen by the Dr to establish as a patient and yadda yadda yadda so of course, I cannot get him in before I start a new job tomorrow. So we have an appt with a new ped and DH is taking him next Tues which will not go over great with DH but oh well ....But this ped has the one without the preservative and this office is closer to our home so some positives I am still undecided if we are transferring care or just going to this office for the flu shot. Oh, and I am going to be really ticked if ins does not cover this visit because he just had a 1yr well check...UGH!!!!! Thanks for listening!
