Thanks for the reply! and for clearing up my confusion I was looking thru the links here on the sticky thread and I did find a very inexpensive ring sling made by a very nice mom @ snugglebugcarriers.com who even emailed me with a few carrying tips, and turned me on to youtube ... apparently there are some good vids there showing different ways to carry baby. So now I'm not feeling so down about my prospects for getting me a different kind of carrier! thank you!
