Icon5 babywearing mom?

Ok, silly question alert!

I always keep up with babywearing info and have been in the market for a great sling since before my baby girl was born. Unfortunately nobody picked up on my registry note about desiring a maya sling or mei tai, and both are still not within my budget! So I took it upon myself to buy a Evenflo Snugli ... it only cost me $20 on sale. I wanted to be carrying my DD so much, I just couldn't wait or resist! My daughter loves being in it on walks or just around the house, and I love the closeness it creates between us. BUT I am wondering, and here's where the silly question comes in ... do you have to have a ring sling, Ergo, or met tai type carrier to be a "babywearing mom"? I'm not dense, I swear! But I never see pics of moms using evenflo or other types of "commercial" carriers on babywearing sites and just wondered. Would I be balked at out the door if I attempt to join a babywearing group without one of these other carriers? Inquiring minds want to know Thanks!

Oh and if I had a sewing machine....I'd be SO on making a ring sling! gaah I want one!

Ok, I'm really done LOL Thank you ladies!!
