I have also heard of the fruit loops trick. On a few occassions when my son sees my husband go in the bathroom, he tells me he has to pee also and i let him go. But he doesnt want to stand in front of his little potty and go, he wants to stand at the big one like daddy. I myself am just trying to get him to successfully sit down and go all the time, but when daddy is there he has to be a big boy and stand. The first time we let him stand in front of his, he turned around to the big potty and peed all over the side of it. So, now we let him put his stool up against it and he has been successful. That was, until he decided to be stubborn and stop going on the potty all together. But, I think that if you let him learn by example, it will be much more successful.
