Default hullabaloo 2

Okay...here are the last few posts so we can remember!

From me....
Jennifer-Yes, we had a back up sample. Our clinic does that just in case, they said you just never know and what if your DH got caught in traffic even and missed the perfect timing. So, we have some on file!

From KC
Dona- I always was a sucker for a blue eyed cutie in a cowboy hat! Awesome cake too!

Jen- Can't wait to hear the results! Hopefully they won't put you off for too long!

Laura- I just realized I still didn't answer all of your questions. Obviously, we won't be coming for July 4th this year. We're planning a trip around Labor Day, but it will probably be pretty short. Planning a longer one for Thanksgiving. We should be able to make it to BCS then, maybe even for the game!

Did you know you can't edit posts on this site? I'm catching onto things slowly today. My earlier post should say the placenta is not centered over my cervix, and so he is pretty hopeful it will move. Does that make more sense?

From Dona...
Jen, we didn't. I did ask them about that, and they said since he's had no issues with "donating" before, not to worry about it! I think it's a good idea though.

From me again...
Jennifer--I am glad you are excited, I felt the same way. I was glad to feel a little more informed and felt like I would have more knowledge of the probelm once I was done and just how good or bad the whole situation was. And that is great that some of the stuff is covered, meds and sonos are expensive!

did you trigger this last round? If you triggered, then shouldn't your chance of cysts be less?

And from Jenn
Oh yeah, quick question. Did you all who did IVF have a frozen back-up sperm sample? I'm not sure what my clinic's policy is on that, but I'm thinking that we will definitely do it. A girl on FF just posted last week because her husband just couldn't do it with the pressure even though he'd never really had a problem with IUI, and so everything was wasted. I felt so horrible for her and realized that I would feel much more comfortable having that back-up just in case cause you never know.

KC - I'll be very hopeful that everything is A-OK when you go back for your next sono!

Heather - I hope they hurry up and make their decision!! The waiting must be driving you nuts!

Laura - That's crazy about your student! Thank goodness you were around to help her out.

Dona - Awesome cake! Your "baby boy" is getting so big! We need a current picture of K too! Are L & K best friends?

Thanks for all the kind words . I go tomorrow for a sono and I guess I'll find out more of what the plan is. I have no idea what their process is there as far as suppression. I'm sure that I'll have lots of leftover cysts from this cycle, so I am fully expecting doing a round of BCP regardless. I do feel very fortunate to go to one of the best groups of Dr's in the country for IVF (top 10 in Child magazine). It's primarily due to the lab, Presby Plano ARTs Program which is shared by my doc and 2 others. Anyway, my Dr and the group as a whole averages 68% success rates for IVF per retrieval for women under 35 which seems great. Of course that is not live births, just confirmed pregnancy. I just hope I'm one of those 68%! I'm starting to get excited about the process and anxious to find out more about the schedule and protocal that he will work out for me. Oh, Heather, my insurance does not cover the IVF procedure at all, but they do cover all meds and u/s monitoring. That will help out quite a bit. I'm sure that I'll be asking for lots of advice and words of wisdom from you girls who have BTDT!

And if you missed it....Go check out Dona's cake...its beautiful!!!
